The Japanese Language School, in operation since 2004, provides language and calligraphy courses at various levels. Japanese language classes are taught by experienced Polish and Japanese teachers, including specialists seconded by the Japan Foundation, which has extended its patronage to the school. The school building also houses a general-access library, complete with a reading room.
The Europe–Far East Gallery (opened in 2015) is also the home of the Andrzej Wajda Archive, donated to the Museum in 2011. The resources documenting Andrzej Wajda’s activity, going back to the 1940s, have been systematized according to the donor’s successive projects: artistic, educational and civic, as well as his socio-political engagements.
