These are only some of the questions we are trying to answer in the exhibition  'A Japanese Puzzle’ at the Manggha Museum. We guide our visitors through ten sections, starting with facts on the geography, demographics, religion, and symbols. Then we move on to festivals, cuisine and textiles, followed by the world of Japanese calligraphy and paper. From there we take them to games – both traditional and modern – and comics. In the last section, which we reach passing bonsai and ikebana on our way, we need to take our shoes off: we will be stepping into the space of a traditional Japanese home, with a veranda overlooking a Zen rock garden.
