The publication was prepared as a catalogue (for the first time in digital form) for the exhibition of the same title, held at the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology between 15 May and 31 August 2009. The DVD contains photographs of 100 masks and 15 costumes used in the Japanese nō theatre. Each photograph is accompanied by descriptions in Polish and English. A booklet of short texts inducting the reader into the world of nō theatre and masks is enclosed.
